Hello all:

I am going out of town tomorrow and am posting this a bit earlier than
usual. Hope I didn't miss anybody by doing so. Also, it gives me a
chance to mention a contest taking place tonight (Tuesday night local)

This Week's Contests:

1. April 2009 Straight Key Century Club Weekday Sprint (SKS). 00-02
UTC Wed. 160-10M CW. Exchange: RST + Name + SPC + SKCC# or "none."
Use hand key or bug.

2. NCCC Sprint Ladder Week #4 and SNS slow speed NA Sprint Practices.
Slow speed SNS 0200-0215Z Friday (Thursday local). 22 WPM maximum
speed; 100W maximum power. 40 and 80M CW. Exchange: both calls, #,
Name, SPC. 0230-0259Z same exchange for NS. 20, 40, 80M CW. Maximum
speed 100W. For both events, observe a one kHz QSY rule. It's not too
late to start the sprint ladder for this season. Don't forget to check
20M at the start as propagation has permitted some 20M QSOs for the past
several weeks.

3. SP DX Contest, RTTY. 12Z Sat to 12Z Sun. 80-10M RTTY. Work
everyone. Exchange: RST + QSO # or SP Province Abbreviation (one letter).

4. Helvetia (Switzerland) Contest. 13Z Sat to 1259Z Sun. Cw, SSB,
Digital. 160-10M. Maximum 18 hours operation. Exchange: RS(T) +
Serial # (+ 2 letter Canton for Swiss stations).

5. Florida QSO Party. 16Z Sat to 0159Z Sun; 12Z to 2159Z Sun. 40-10M
CW, Phone. Exchange: RS(T) + SPC or FL county. This one has a lot of
activity and it is very possible to work all FL counties in this one
weekend. Look for KC4HW/M and W4AN/M (with K4BAI and KU8E
operating/driving). Many other mobiles, portables, and fixed stations
will be QRV. Both SECC and ACG have very active FL members, so let's
support their QSO Party this weekend.

6. Nebraska QSO Party. 17Z Sat to 17Z Sun. 160-2M. CW, Phone,
Digital. Exchange: RS(T) + SPC or NE county.

Hope everyone has a nice week and weekend and a lot of QSOs. I hope to
work many of you tonight in the SKS. I will be out of town Wednesday
afternoon until Friday night and will likely not have e-mail for this
trip.

73,

John, K4BAI.
