   Through an Executive Order,  the Officers of the South East Contest Club
(SECC) are proud to announce a new program; the “South East Contester of the
Year”. We hope this will begin a trend in perpetuity. Through close
association of the ACG, TCG,  FCG, and SECC jointly in the future, it is our
hope that this will grow into an even larger event each year. The officers
of all associated clubs will meet annually, collaborate and nominate member
contesters for the award. The award will be presented at an annual Southeast
Contest Dinner event at a designated Southeast Hamfest. The first award will
be presented during the Contest Dinner at the Huntsville Hamfest.



The first “ South East Contester of the Year” for the year 2009, and the
first contester to be so honored is John Laney K4BAI of Columbus, GA. John
will receive his award Saturday night at the Huntsville Hamfest during the
Contest Dinner.
