Hi Tom,

Your super 160 system is a doubled edged sword. Live by the sword, die by
the sword. If you know it is bad you have to take it out.

Just my 2 cents. (P.S> We have never met, butI think you beat me out in a
160 pile up once :)

I need some advice to do about my log.

A W1 came on a frequency I had occupied for hours and tried to run me off. I

stayed on frequency and kept asking him to move, and he sent back the
required "FU" to me several times.

So....... I nulled his signal out by phasing two antennas with a phasing
system (like a deluxe noise canceller) and worked people. He left, but then
less than a minute later he called me with rare DX calls like 7Q7ANN and
VU2DX.

I know this was him because when I pushed the power button on my nuller and
recalled the same antennas, level, and phase the VU2 and other calls
disappeared totally. This would mean the VU2 was coming from within a few
miles of this certain W1's QTH because even the short distance from W1AW to
this fellow's location requires a readjustment of phase!!!

A few minutes later he was rebroadcasting stuff on SSB on me, because
switching on the nuller made the SSB vanish in a deep null.

(never jam someone who has what amounts to a calibrated interferometer and
very wide spaced antennas that can used for DF'ing signals)

Should I leave the bad contacts in the log and put a note to the ARRL about
this fellow and what he did, or just remove the contacts around the time
this mental midget was bullying me??

I have not edited the log yet to remove the fake calls, but I should be
around 135 multipliers and in the upper 500K points without the fake calls
he sent. I nearly set a record if I include his fake calls. :-)

Should I edit out the suspected fake contacts or tell the ARRL the story and

let them edit them out? I hope this idiot did not do more than the several
contacts I suspect.
