I just went through a similar moment of angst and the overwhelming wave of advice to me was " Worked it? Logged it and leave it."

I also found Sean Kutzko, KX9X, the ARRL Contesting Big Cheese to be very responsive and helpful. Send him a private note for advice.

If it is the W1 I think it is, he has a big bullseye on his license anyway and I feel sure all data regarding his antics would be appreciated. Your ability to provide technically sound and accurate information would be welcome.
