SECC AWARDS FOR THE NAQP CONTEST


SECC CALL FOR NAQP CW AND SSB TEAMS

NAQP CW STARTS 1800z (2pm) AUGUST 7th

NAQP SSB STARTS 1800z (2pm) AUGUST 21st

Teams for the CW and the SSB NAQP must be registered prior to each contest,
so it is very important that we set up CW teams prior to August 7th and for
SSB teams prior to August 21st .  At this point we have team members signed
up for almost five teams, but we really need a greater SECC membership turn
out for both of these contest as we are seriously being challenged by the
ACG, the TCG for bragging rights. So please become a team member!

Remember that being on a team just means that you operate in the contest in
your normal manner, but you try to optimize your score and then you submit
your score to the SECC reflector. There are no special requirements, being a
team member, other than trying just a little harder!

Sign up for either or both the CW and the SSB NAQP by sending an email to
the SECC Vice President, Ralph Bates - K1ZZI by emailing Ralph direct:
k1zzi at comcast.net  . We would love it if you could sign up for BOTH CW and
SSB NAQP contest!

This year, within the SECC, we will be giving out individual awards for each
of the three NAQP contest, SSB, RTTY, and CW. These awards will NOT be a
piece of paper, but a very well done trophy or plaque seriously worthy of
being placed on display in your shack! Each contest category will be:

Unlimited Top Score
Wire Antennas

There is only ONE catch! (You knew there was, didn't you?) The winner can
only come from a listing of those SECC members who actually submitted their
scores for the South East Contest Club. The cutoff date for award
consideration will be 14 days after the completion of each NAQP.

After each NAQP, copy your Cabrillo log and submit it here by pasting your
log onto this site:
	http://www.ncjweb.com/naqplogsubmit.php 

Also please submit your scores to 3830 and check the box asking if you want
your results emailed back to you. When you get this email from 3830, just
submit it to the SECC reflector. For 3830, go to:
	http://www.hornucopie.com/3830 score/

and select NAQP. If you have any questions, please ask them on the SECC
reflector.

These awards will be distributed as soon as possible after the SSB NAQP, so
please be sure to post your submitted scores to the SECC reflector right
after the contest.
