1. NCCC Thursday night practices SNS and NS: Slow Speed SNS
0200-0220Z+ Friday (Thursday night local). Maximum power 100w. Maximum
speed 18 WPM first ten minutes, then up to 26 WPM. One kHz QSY rule.
20, 40, 80 CW. Exchange: Both calls, #, name, SPC or DX.
NS. 0230-0259Z Friday (Thursday night local). No speed limit. 80, 40,
20, 160M. Otherwise, rules same as SNS.
2. Bill Windle QSO Party. Open QSO Party sponsored by FOC (First Class
CW Operators' Club). 24 hours of Saturday UTC. 160-VHF CW. Exchange:
RST + Name + FOC # if you have one.
3. Portugal Day Contest. 24 hours of Saturday UTC. 80-10M, CW,SSB.
Exchange: RST + Serial # or CT District. Work everyone. Usually very
little activity in this one.
4. VK Shires Contest. 0600Z Sat to 0600Z Sun. 80-10M, CW, SSB.
Exchange: RST + CQ Zone or VK Shire. I've never heard anybody in this
one, but would be fun with good propagation. Work only Australian stations.
5. DRCG Long Distance Contest, RTTY. 0800-1559Z Sat; 0000-0759Z Sun;
1600-2359Z Sunday. 40-10M RTTY. Exchange: RST + 4 digit time in UTC +
CQ Zone #. Work everyone.
6. Asia-Pacific Sprint, SSB. 11-13Z Sat. 20 and 15M SSB. Exchange:
RS + Serial #. One and Six kHz QSY rules. Work only Asia-Pacific stations.
7. GACW WWSA CW DX Contest. 15Z Sat to 15Z Sun. 80-10M CW. Exchange:
RST + CQ Zone. Work everyone. There is often a good turnout for this
one, particularly from South America.
8. ARRL June VHF QSO Party. 18Z Sat to 03Z Mon. 50 mHz and up any
mode. Exchange: Four character grid square. Six has been great lately
and this will be a lot of fun if we get Es this weekend.
9. Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprint (WES). 24 hours of Sunday
UTC. 160-6M CW. Use mechanical key only (such as hand key or bug).
Exchange: RST + Name + SPC + SKCC# if you have one.
There should be something for almost every contester this weekend. I
mus apologize to WF4W, N4NX, and NG4Z (K2UFT) for leaving their claimed
WPX scores off of last week's list. K1ZZI's SECC summary does have
their scores. I was in too much of a hurry to get that report out after
returning from Bonaire and staying at the hospital with my wife after
her knee replacement surgery. She is doing fine and working hard on her
physical therapy. Hope everyone has a nice weekend and a lot of QSOs.
