This Week's Contests:

1.  Thursday Night NCCC SNS and NS.  These two are combined this week, I 
think for the first time.  0200-0300Z Friday.  20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W 
maximum.  Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO.  Keep speed to 
24 WPM and below for first half hour.  Exchange:  both calls, #, name, 
SPC.  Activity around 14040, 7040, 3540, and 1815 kHz.  I will be out of 
town and hope someone else can hand out GA multipliers this Thursday 
night and also next Thursday.

2.  FOC QSO Party (also known as Bill Windle QSO Party).  24 hours of 
Saturday UTC.  160-VHF CW.  Exchange:  RST + Name + FOC number, if you 
have one.  If not send RST + Name.  Call is "CQ BW."  Frequencies around 
025 on all bands and 1815 kHz.  This is a good opportunity to let FOC 
members know you might be interested in an invitation to membership by 
simply operating in their open QSO party.

3.  10-10 International Fall Contest, CW.  0001Z Sat to 2359Z Sun.  10M 
CW only.  Exchange:  Name + SPC + 10-10 # if you have one.

4.  SYLRA Contest.  80-10M CW, SSB, RTTY.  10Z Sat to 10Z Sun.  Maximum: 
18 hours with no less than 60 minute off-periods.  Exchange:  RST + 73 
for OMs and RST + 88 for YLs.  Work everybody.

5.  Stew Perry Top Band Challenge Warm Up.  160M CW.  15Z Sat to 15Z Sun 
with 14 hours maximum.  Exchange:  4 character grid square.

6.  W/VE Islands QSO Party.  16Z Sat to 2359Z Sun.  160-6M CW, Ph, 
Digital.  Exchange:  RS(T) + USI/CISA Island Description for island 
stations and RS(T) + SPC for non-island stations.

7.  October Straight Key Century Club Straight Key Sprint (SKS).  00-02Z 
Wed (Tuesday night local).  160-10M CW.  Use mechanical key only. 
Exchange:  RST + Name + SPC + SKCC# or power.

Looks like I will miss everything this week except possibly the last
