Bon Tarde to all interested 10-10-10 Folk!

 

The news from The Hague is that the last of the documents have been signed
today at the Final Round Table Conference (RTC) by the representatives of
The Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles, Curacao, Sint Maarten, Aruba, and
the BES island (Bonaire, St. Eustatius, and Saba)! 

 

They have certified that all is in readiness and accepted by all parties for
the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles on October 10 at 0400Z (midnight
island-time), resulting in the associated beginning of the new statuses for
each of the affected islands!

 

10-10-10 is finally a "done deal"!

 

Now we need to get an announcement from the ARRL, as early as possible, on
the identity and effective date(s) of any new DXCC Entities. This will
prevent all the rampant speculation and help to make more efficient the
planning by several groups that are expected to be active from the affected
islands on 10-10-10. It will also allow them to have LOTW modified and
tested so that those of us planning to do "early and often" log uploads to
LOTW will be able to do so properly during operations immediately following
10-10-10.
