[SECC] Announcement: QRPARCI Holiday Spirits Contest Sunday Afternoon

You are encouraged to participate in the upcoming Holiday Spirits Home 
Brew Sprint that's hosted by QRP ARCI on the 18th of December from 2000Z 
to 2359Z.
f using a homemade (including kit) transceiver. You can earn another 
5000 points if operating portable using a battery and temporary antenna, 
as well!
It's a fun CW contest geared towards encouraging home brewers to get on 
the air.

An incentive or two: You will earn 5000 bonus points *per band* if using 
a homemade (including kit) transceiver as well as another 5000 points if 
operating portable using a battery and temporary antenna!

Remember QRP ARCI is an *international* club ao we are particularly keen 
on encouraging participation from Europe and Asia.

The Holiday Spirits Homebrew Sprint is a great opportunity to make 2-way 
homebrew-homebrew QSOs with other QRPers. Rules can be found at the ARCI 
web site - www.qrparci.org

I hope to hear and work you from southwest Utah and I look forward to 
receiving a flurry of log submittals from those of you who can devote 
some time for this fun event. As an aside note: we have a great turn 
out, seen in the numbers of logs submitted, for the recent Top Band 
Sprint and certainly hope to see an increase in the numbers of 
participants and the follow-on log submissions for this fun event.
