intervening QSO for this week.  20, 40, 80, 160M CW.  0230-0259Z Friday 
(Thursday night local).  100W maximum power.  One kHz QSY rule. 
Exchange:  both calls, #, name, state.  Watch for SNS announcement.

2.  YLRL DX/NA YL Anniversary Contest.  For YLs only.  14Z Friday to 02Z 
Sunday.  Any contest band.  CW, SSB, Digital.  24 hours maximum 
operating time. Exchange:  RS(T), + ARRL Section, province, or country. 
  Power limited to 200W maximum.  SSB and CW/Digital are scored as 
separate contests.

3.  MAKROTHEN RTTY Contest.  00-0759Z Sat; 1600-2359Z Sat; 08--1559Z 
Sun.  80-10M RTTY.  Exchange:  4 character grid square.

calls, #, name.  2 kHz QSY rule.

8.  Arizona QSO Party.  16Z Sat to 06Z Sun; 14-2359Z Sun.  160-2M CW, 
Phone, Digital.  Exchange:  Name + SPC. AZ stations send a significant 
year in AZ history from a list in the rules and state/county.  They will 
send that together like AZMHV.  Bonus points for QSOs with W7SA.

9.  FISTS Fall Sprint.  80-10M CW.  17-21Z Sat.  100W maximum power. 
Exchange:  RST + SPC + Name + FISTS# or power.  Look around 058 kHz for 
activity.

10.  North American Sprint, RTTY.  00-04Z Sun (Sat night local).  20, 
40, 80M RTTY.  Exchange:  both calls, #, name, SPC.  Team competition. 
If anyone want to be on a team, please let me know and I will register 
the team(s) before the start of the Sprint.

11.  Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprint (WES).  24 hours of Sunday 
UTC.  160-6M CW.  Use mechanical keys only.  Exchange:  RST, Name, SPC, 
SKCC# or "none."

12.  10-10 Day Sprint.  24 hours of Monday UTC.  (This is the federal 
holiday for Columbus Day this year.)  10M all modes.  Exchange:  Name, 
SPC, 10-10# if applicable.

13.  NAQCC Straight Key/Bug Sprint.  0030-0230Z Wed (Tues night local). 
  80-20M CW.  5W maximum power.  Exchange:  RST, SPC, NAQCC# or power. 
Double score for use of hand key and 1 1/2 times score for use of bug.

14.  CWOps Club Mini Tests.  Wednesday local date.  Three one-hour mini 
tests at 13Z, 19Z, and 03Z (Thursday UTC).  Exchange:  Name + CWOps # or 
SPC.

A little something for everyone on HF this weekend.  I'll probably have 
a number of different contest logs up at the same time.  I will miss the 
week day contests next week.  I'll be out of town, but should have 
e-mail and will try to get out the usual mid week report by Wednesday or 
Thursday.  Hope everyone has a nice week and weekend and a lot of QSOs
