Buzz,
The certificate was designed by Scott, KB4KBS.
He used Gordon's original draft as a basis and did a revision to the final version.

I have gotten several notes about the K4OD/K4BK certificates...
Scott deserves the kudos...

As a bit of back story, When Gordon called me and described his idea for this award, I was a sceptic.
We discussed the "Prizes" and I was worried about having a prize that was possibly going to cost $20(+) for each qualifier.
So Gordon went for a Certificate.  And with 122 qualifiers (so far) It was a good choice.
This was all before Old GreyEagle went into the hospital, and...
Scott, had offered to do the WriteUp after Gordon died.  And I was really glad to have Scott join us.
His write up is a great work.  Newsy, well written, and fun to read, but I had prevailed on Scott to handle the certificates.
He accepted, and neither of us knew how much support the award would get from the GA station going for the 1x1 calls, and...
We did not know how many entrants would win the K4OD/K4BK awards, but Scott jumped in.
The GEORGIA award was a runaway success...  TNX Gordon.
But Scott has finished the job!
All I did was sift some data from the logs, including a couple of my booboo's, and send it to Scott.
KB4KBS - Thank you.

The Party Pioneer award has a similar story.  John, K4BAI started it, and hooked Rusty, W6OAT in.
Mike, K4PI joined with an original log, and an original certificate signed by Rusty.
We had 23 folks from 1962 active in the 2011 GQP.  This an amazing outcome.
I did a certificate, and put a copy of Mike's original certificate on it, and sent all of the certs to Rusty to sign and final mail.
This meant that the signer of the first GQP certificates also signed the Pioneer award certificates in 2011.
This "Thank You" is to K4BAI, W6OAT, and K4PI for making the Party Pioneer award for 2011 special.

My Part was to direct some traffic, pass some info, and help folks who had great ideas follow through.

I hope this bit of insight is of interest to the clubs members.

Mike, NE4S
