Down Texas way we're pulling out all the stops to have a party equal to
or better than the 2010 version and its happening this weekend.

Session 1: 0900 CDT - 2100 CDT (1400Z 9/24 - 0200Z 9/25)
Session 2: 0900 CDT - 1500 CDT (1400Z 9/25 - 2000Z 9/25)

Rules of engagement can be found athttp://www.txqp.net
Follow the Routes link on the same site to see who is going where.

So what do you get when you activate the Battleship Texas Amateur Radio
Station as well as the well-known super station NR5M (using W5CT), add
in a fellow in a pup tent camped out in San Saba with the "shave and a
hair cut" call sign, and then throw in about 60 fixed stations and 21
mobiles?

What you get is an opportunity to work all 254 Texas counties in a
single weekend. But it will be intense and you'll need to be bi-modal
and quick on your feet with your butt in the seat cause only about 42 of
those counties will have fixed stations, the other 212 will be on the
air as a result of mobiles flitting in and flitting out.

Last year the "200-County-Club" consisted of the following stations from
outside of Texas: WA3HAE(227), KB9OWD(217), N5LZ(213), KV8Q(213),
WA6KHK(212), VE3KZ(210), K0DEQ(200), and three near misses N1LN(199),
WB2ABD(199), NT2A(193).

Can these ops do it again? Can you work enough counties to join the
club? Give it a try. We can't guarantee you'll make it but you sure will
have some radio fun trying.

See you in the 2011 Texas QSO Party.
