This Week's Contests:
1.  CWOps Club, CWT, 0300Z Thursday (Wednesday night local).  One hour 
mini test.  160-10M CW.  Exchange:
Name + CWOps# or SPC.  Look around 028 kHz on each band.  Try 018 kHz if 
there is a DX pile up around 028.

2.  20M QRP Fox Hunt.  0200-0330Z Fri (Thursday night local).  Two QRP 
Foxes will be between 14050 and 14070 kHz.  5W power limit. Exchange:  
RST, SPC, Name, Power. Work only the two Foxes.  They will likely start 
out split listening up and then go to simplex when the pileup goes 
down.  The two foxes are AA4XX, Paul, on Topsail Island, NC and AB9CA, 
Dave, who is likely to be in WI or an adjoining state.

3.  NCCC RTTY Sprint Practice.  0130Z - 0200Z Friday (Thurs local).  
RTTY on 15, 20, 40, 80M I think.  Maximum power 100W. One kHz QSY rule.  
Exchange:  both calls, #, name, SPC.  Look around 080 kHz.

4.  NCCC NS Ladder.  0230-0300Z Friday (Thursday local).  15, 20, 40, 
80, 160M CW.  100W maximum power.  One kHz QSY rule. Exchange:  both 
calls, #, name, SPC.  Look around 040 kHz.

5.  SNS.  There is still a slower speed CW sprint practice on 20, 40, 
and 80 CW from 0200 to 0220Z.  Also around 040 kHz.  Try to keep speeds 
under 18 WPM at first and then no higher than 26 WPM. Rest of rules same 
as for NS Ladder.

6.  Worked All Europe CW DX Contest.  48 hours of weekend UTC. 80-10M 
CW.  36 hours maximum for single ops.  Exchange:  RST + serial #.  There 
is a QTC feature where you may send to each European station up to 10 
QTC consisting of time, call, and # received from a previous QSO.  You 
can send the information on a received QSO only once.  There is a club 
aggregate score competition, so be sure to put your club affiliation in 
the header of your Cabrillo file if you are inside the geographical 
circle for the club.

7.  Maryland-DC QSO Party.  16Z Sat to 04Z Sun. and 16-24Z Sun. 160M - 
432 mHz.  Exchange:  class + SPC or MD county.  Classes are:  Club, 
Mobile, QRP, or STD (standard).  50 bonus points for a QSO with W3VPR or 
KI3DS.  They require use of their summary sheet.

8.  Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprintathon (WES).  24 hours of 
Sunday UTC.  160-6M CW.  Use mechanical key (hand key, bug, 
sideswiper).  Exchange:  RST, Name, SPC, SKCC# or "none." "Elmers" on the
Elmer list on the SKCC website will send "/E" after their name. In 
return, stations workign Elmers should send "/ETU" after their name.  
This means "Elmer Thank You."  5 bonus points for each time you work an 
Elmer.

9.  North American QRP CW Club Straight Key/Bug Sprint.  Wednesday 
0030-0230Z (Tuesday night local).  5W maximum power.  20, 40, 80M CW.  
Exchange:  RST, Name, SPC.  Double your score for use of a straight 
key.  1 1/2 times your score for use of a bug.
