Hello all:

Mike, N0TU in KS, and I will be your 80M QRP Foxes Thursday night local
time, 0200-0330Z Friday, between 3550 and 3570 kHz. I will be using my
FT1000MP at 5W and an 80 meter coax fed inverted vee with the apex at 55
feet. Band conditions have been very good on 80M this week with good DX
signals and no long skip to prevent local QSOs. AB7R in WA was audible
here in GA for all 90 minutes of last week's 80M hunt. So, coast to
coast QSOs should be possible this week. My exchange will be real RST,
GA, JOHN, 5W. I will start off QSX up one to 1 1/2 kHz. I will
probably be on a .5 kHz to try to avoid QRM from nets which are nearly
all or maybe all on the even kHz frequencies. When the pile up dies
down, I will be listening on my own frequency and will indicate that by
no longer sending "UP" at the end of the CQ and/or thank you ID message.

As a reminder, you must run no more than 5W and you may work only the
two foxes. As a matter of interest, Mike, N0TU's family is from the
county north of me and Mike has continued to have business interests
here. Mike's former call was K0MDS and you have all heard him in QRP
Fox Hunts in recent years. He had lunch with me and KU8E here in
Columbus, GA when he was here on business a few years ago. And, this
will be Mike's first time as a QRP Fox.

Good luck to all and I hope everyone gets pelts from both foxes Thursday
night. Seasons Greetings to you and your families.

73, John, K4BAI.
