Hello all:

If you haven't already discovered it, the RAC Canada Day Contest is a
lot of fun. I have made almost 500 QSOs before leaving for work today
and have made QSOs on all bands 160 through 10M, mostly CW but a large
number on SSB. Canadians send their Province or Territory and others
send a sequential serial number. It will continue until 8 PM tonight
EDT or 2359Z. It is in celebration of the Canadian National Holiday.
There are a lot of Canadians on and QSOs with them count for mults and
more points than with others, but everyone can be worked for points.
There are a good number of DX stations looking for QSOs. I have worked
a lot of SA, CA (including special call TG1B), Europe, and some Asia
stations (UA9/0, 4X, and JA) plus NP2X from the Caribbean. Activity is
centered around 025 kHz on CW and 1850, 3775, 7225 (but all the way down
to 7128), 14175, 21250, and 28500. So, if you are looking for something
interesting and fun to do today up until 8 EDT tonight, make a few QSOs
in this contest and wish our neighbors to the north a happy national
holiday. 73, John, K4BAI.
