Relocated my shack from the house to a storage unit in my backyard prior to the
contest, so I was busy right up to the start of the contest. had to replace a
broken balun on my TH7, replace old feedlines, put down radials, etc. With the
help from my good friend Don, W4OC, he provided me with a new computer loaded
with N1MM and interface lines etc, I had radio control for the first time ever
from my home station. Attempted to get voice keying working for the contest,
which did for the 1st hour, then died..I decided not to try and fix it, just
bypassed it and went manual cqing the whole 24 hours...whew!! First time ever
breaking the 1000 QSO barrier in this one for me...bands were good, just a lot
of unanswered cq's possibly due to low antennas. Thanks for all the Q's.
