This Week's Contests:
1. NCCC RTTY Sprint Practice. 0145-0215Z Friday (Thursday night local
time). 15, 20, 40, 80M RTTY. 100W maximum power. One kHz QSY rule.
Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Look around 080 kHz on each band.
2. NCCC NS CW Sprint Practice. 0230-0259Z Friday (Thursday night local
time). 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W maximum power. One kHz QSY
rule. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Look around 040 kHz on each
band plus 1815 kHz.
3. His Majesty King of Spain Contest, SSB. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun.
160-10M SSB. Exchange: RS + serial # or EA province abbreviation.
They had the CW portion a few weeks ago and I have already received via
e-mail a beautiful certificate with a picture of King Juan Carlos
operating his station. If you work EA0JC or EH0JC, it will be the
king's station, but maybe not the King himself at the key. Don't know
whehter his abdication in favor of his son will affect this contest in
the future. Maybe it will free him up to actually operate himself.
4. Ukrainian DX Digi Contest. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 80-10M RTTY,
PSK63. Exchange: RST + QSO# or 2 letter UR oblast abbreviation.
5. ARRL Field Day. 18Z Sat to 21Z Sun. (maximum 24 straight hours).
All bands except WARC. Exchange: # transmitters + Class + ARRL Section
or DX. Example: W4CVY 4A GA. Classes are: A, B, C, D, E, F.
6. 10-10 International Spirit of 76 QSO Party. 0001Z Monday to 2400Z
the next Sunday. 10M, CW, SSB, PSK31, RTTY, FM, AM. Exchange: Name +
10=10 # (or "0") + SPC.
7. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Three separate one hour mini tests.
Next Wednesday local date. 1300Z, 1900Z, 0300Z (Thursday UTC date).
160-10M CW. Exchange: Name + CWOps # or SPC. Look around 028 to 038
kHz on each band. Probaby most activity will be lower in the 160M band,
perhaps 1810 to 1829 kHz.
Hope everyone has a great week and weekend and a lot of QSOs. Hope
everyone's Field Day is a great and safe experience. Let's hope that
our usualy afternoon thunderstorms will be at a minimum this year.
