Hello all:

Please join the QRP Fox Hunt on 40 meters tonight. 0100-0230 UTC
Thursday (Wed night local date in the US). The two QRP Foxes will be
Andy, W9NJY, in WI and myself, K4BAI, JOHN, GA. The QRP Fox Hunt
Schedule shows W9NJY and AB7R tonight, but AB7R asked to swap for an
earlier date before his tower was taken down and the schedule hasn't
been updated.

The two foxes will be on undetrmined frequencies between 7030 and 7050
kHz. They will likely be working split (usually up) for the first part
of the period and may go to simplex when the pileups die down. The
Foxes should indicate where they are listening.

Work only the two foxes. Maximum power is 5W. Do not spot the
frequencies of the foxes. That is the "hunt" part of the event. The
exchange is RST, SPC, Name, Power.

I will be using an IC756Pro at 5W and switching between a 40M coax fed
dipole at about 40' and a 101' center fed zepp at about 50'. I am
located in Columbus, GA (Muscogee County, Grid EM72). 40M has had
relatively short skip at night lately and I am hoping for good
conditions tonight. They seemed very good last night during the ARS
Spartan Sprint.

This is the last week of the Winter fox hunts. There will be a last hunt
on 80M (3550-3570 kHz) at the same time Thursday night. But, a summer
series of hunts will be announced for 20M.

Look forward to giving out many "pelts" tonight and I hope many will
join in this fun operating activity.

73/72, John, K4BAI.
