Comments:

Only listed the operators at the main station using the club call W4CVY shown as
"Op On" in the log. There were many others who may have made some
QSOs and helped with the set up, take down, food, publicity, etc. Totals do
not include any bonus points or points for QSOs made by the GOTA station, which
signed W4FIZ, the club call of the Bi-City VHF Society, which merged with the
Columbus Amateur Radio Club some years ago. The location at the Cooper Creek
Park was excellent with a great deal of public interest and guests appearing
and a nice grassy area with trees for shade and adequate public facilities near
by. The facilities include a wonderful public tennis center, but I managed to
avoid having to play a match during the Field Day period. We were very
disappointed in VHF conditions, but HF conditions were as good as we have
experienced lately. Fairly high QRN on 80M. The location had no power line
noise. Most of our equipment performed well. There was no interference noted
at the CW station from the others stations and I hope the other stations
noticed none from CW. I do think the SSB station and the SSB/digital station
may have had some interstation interference that may have kept their QSO totals
down. Thanks for all QSOs and we look forward to next year. 73, John, K4BAI
for CARC.
