Contest Recap:
Friday 7-9pm, band closed
Friday 9-11pm, band open (does this sound backwards?)
Saturday 9am, band opens a little
Saturday 2pm, great run into W6 land
Saturday, 4pm, band closed (does this sound backwards?)
Sunday, band barely opens
Biggest goof: During the run on Saturday afternoon, the noise level went to
S-5 killing the good run. Though it was rain static as it started to rain
hard. Turns out the rain drove my wife from outside to inside to use the
treadmill. The motor generates a lot of RFI. Lost a couple of dozen QSO's
on that one.
Still have 2 Power Line Noise hotspots to work on with the Power company but
each contest gets better.
Ten Tec Orion II
QRO 2500
5el 10M at 90 ft
Crushcraft A-4 tribander fixed SE at 50 ft (I need to get a Tic Ring for the
tribander one of these days to make it more useful)
