[SECC] Fwd: Fwd: BOD changes and conduct

I renewed my membership this week....and I hesitated a while before I wrote
the check. The BOD of the league is on the wrong path - which is a shame.
I likely will not renew next year unless things change for the better.
Thanks for the posting Kevan...

Dr. Boehner,

You are undoubtedly aware of the controversy N6AA censorship and proposed
BOD changes are having in the general Amateur and contesting communities.
As I rarely take initial reports at face value I spent considerable time
using internet sources to research the event trying to determine if the
ARRL actions seemed reasonable. I am disturbed by what I found.
Specificlally, I find the account of events put forth by K3LR and supported
by others to be at odds with the actions taken by the board. This is not a
singular event and I have become concerned the Board is moving down a path
that is not in the interest of its membership. I began to think of
contacting you with my concern.

This morning I noticed WF3C of the Florida Contest Group posted a copy of a
letter they sent to the Board on line. The link is below. It summed up my
feelings very well and I would like you to know it verbalized my concerns
very well and I fully support their opinion. If you haven't read it, please
do so.

I have supported you specifically and the ARRL in general many times over
my 40+ years as a member. The direction the Board of Directors is now
headed does not seem to be in the interest of the membership at large.
