Hi Dave,

I listened during the weekend but the band only opened a little on Saturday around 3-5pm. On Sunday the band opened a little at around 11:30am and I thought that was a good sign, but closed at 1pm and did not open again till around 3:30 when I worked PJ4A. Seems like the opening was a little better around 6pm when CO8 and a CE answered my CQ, but I think most had abandoned 10M by then.

I’ve been spending a good amount of time reducing the Power Line noise around the QTH. That helped a lot. NE and NW are pretty clean, SE and SW still need some more work. Still around a S-1 to S-3 but I have the problem poles identified. Just waiting for the power company to meet me to ID the bad component. Over the last 2 years they have fixed over 50 poles that had some kind of fault.

Jeff

26 Qs is amazing on 10m. I listened on 10 from time to time and even ‘ran’ there a few times.

How many listening hours did you work it? That’s one heck of a challenge.

Comments:

A slow S&P weekend on 10M. With the exception of 4M1K who was pounding in
when the band was closed, most stations were only heard for short durations.

Heard and worked PJ4A (aka K4BAI and KU4E), but signal was only there for 5
minutes. Most of Caribbean was not heard at my QTH and just a few SA this
weekend.
