Who else will join K4BAI and N4IQ on a team for the four-hour NA Sprint
SSB this Saturday (0000-0400Z Sun) on 20, 40, and 80M? You can run any
legal power level. Exchange is both calls, #, Name and State (or
province or NA country or just Name for stations outside North
America). There is a one/five kHz QSY rule. If you call someone and he
answers you, you keep the frequency for one more QSO. You can call CQ
until you get a QSO or QSY for other QSOs. If you call CQ and get an
answer, you must QSY after that QSO and the station who called you keeps
the frequency. You must QSY at least 5 kHz before CQing and at least
one kHz to call another station. Mults are States, Provinces, and North
American countries. We can have up to five on a team. You don't need
to be a member of any particular club or live within any circle. Ask
your friends. I will register the team(s) before the start on Saturday.

This sprint has a lot of support and has had a lot of activity in the
past few years. This can be a lot of fun and those who seldom "run"
during a contest will inherit a frequency and can "run" for one QSO
there. Actually, you will often be called by some sprinter when you
have just given your exchange and gotten an acknowledgement and you
won't even have called CQ. You let the crowd know you will be the one
staying on the frequency by giving your call last. If you are the
station who just inherited the frequency or called CQ, you can give both
calls at the beginning and those listening will know that you won't be
keeping the frequency.

You can work any station on each of the three bands, but mults count
only once regardless of band. All major contest loggers have modules
for this contest. The usual CQ call is "CQ NA."

Let me hear from you ASAP. 73, John, K4BAI
