Last year a few VT club stations in the VTQP included W1NVT and W1JXN. BOLO
these callsigns. Also last year there was a mobile op running. Activity has
been increasing in this QP.
Speaking of QPs, the Carolina Weekend (SCQP/NCQP) starts on February 23 at
1500z. I will be part of a multi-op team running WN4AFP (N4IQ station) in
the SCQP and I’ll driving up to Raleigh Saturday night to be part of the
multiop W4MY team. There’s a special certificate and a major prize drawing
available for working both QP chairmen.
We’re shooting for 300 log submissions for the SCQP this year. We had 243
last year. Almost all of our awards have been sponsored for 2019.
Special mobile ops include the “CW Machine” N4CW, K5CM, K4C (W1TEF) and
more. Our “rare” bonus county this year is Abbeville. Extra bonus points
for all ABBE Qs. Activity will be on all 3 modes... phone, cw and digital.
Visit SCQSO.COM for links news and more.
So fellow SECC members, who’s coming to our party?
73s Dave WN4AFP
SCQP Chair
