In this week's score report, I seem to have overlooked the NAQCC
Milliwatt Sprint next Wed night local date. I usually run one of my
Yaesu rigs at 900 mW for these, which are held twice a year, once in the
summer (or late spring actually) and once in the winter. They are the
same as the regular QRP monthly NAQCC sprints except that the maximum
power is one watt (QRPp). These can be challenging, but also rewarding.
If you can't get your power down to one watt, you could still give out
some QSOs to the QRPP stations. If I get back from Valdosta in time,
I'll probably get out one of my Yaesu rigs so I can fully participate.
If I get back late, but before the sprint is over, I may try to give out
a few QSOs with my TS590SG at 5W and submit a check log.
0030-0230Z Thursday, Wednesday night local date. 20, 40, 80M CW.
Exchange: RST SPC NAQCC# or power. Double your score for use of a hand
key. 1 1/2 times your score for use of a bug. Look around 14059 to
14064; 7030 to 7045; 3555 to 3565 kHz. Activity isn't limited to those
frequencies, but most of the activity will be there.
73/72, John, K4BAI.
