Diversity mode works extremely well on the lower bands, and I use it
pretty much all the time. When I was in Texas I used a S9V 43' vertical
as the second receiver antenna. Since I got my Beverage installed here
at the new NC station last week I've been using it for the second
receiver antenna, and the effects can range from subtle to downright
startling (one station in the left ear and a completely different
station in the right), even on signals from close-in stations. The 350
foot Beverage is even useful on 20 meters. For sure, it really helps
reception in fast QSB situations.
