Comments:

Just got the new North Carolina station up and running last week. This was the
first really competitive event for it. So far, I'm quite pleased at the results.
After so long with a poor antenna in Texas, it was particularly good to have a
decent signal on 80. Since the idea was to find out how competitive my signal
was, I ran almost entirely S&P, with just a brief run at the beginning on
80. I seemed to have no trouble getting through pileups and usually prevailed on
first call on both 80 and 40. We'll see how just a low dipole works on 20 in the
1900Z session. Thanks for all the QSOs, and it's amazing how much participation
there is these days.

Station: K3 / KPA500 (SO1R for now)
80, 40: Inverted vee at approx 50'
20-10: Multi-band dipole at approx 35'

73...
Randy, W8FN
