<DIV>It looks like a slow news day on the SECC, so here is an update for filler.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Working with Gordon, K4OD and Jeff, KU8E, we have a listing and web update for the Bonus prizes they pulled together.</DIV>
<DIV>I am amazed at the county totals these stations achieved.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Also, I had put Jeff, NY4N in Mixed when he submitted as CW, my error, and it has been corrected.</DIV>
<DIV>This Makes Jeff the winner for that Rover Single Op CW slot, sponsored by Larry, K4PIC.</DIV>
<DIV>Norm, W3DYA had been listed on initial posting, and Jeff spotted my err. </DIV>
<DIV>Notes to/from both of these Gents reveal a great spirit of sportsmanship!</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The scores on the above incident were so close, I had to really check them out.</DIV>
<DIV>Jeff had a good score as submitted, Norm was docked 3032 points in the final posting.</DIV>
<DIV>Since Norm had 1516 Qs (!) it looked like a multiplier was dropped (1516x2=3032)... and that turned out to be the case.</DIV>
<DIV>Norm had received a "DC" on a Q and it was logged as a mult. We lump DC (or MDC) and MD into MD for GQP.</DIV>
<DIV>That 3032 points would have again changed the lead. That is if Jeff didn't have a DC mult in the bag too.</DIV>
<DIV>These details were listed in the Score Errors page, and was where I looked first for the clues.</DIV>
<DIV>Next year we plan to separate DC and MD as mults, and scores will be cleaner.</DIV>
<DIV>This is the most common of the score corrections in the process, probably 20 logs.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Matt, K4AQ spotted a couple of typos, and had an edit to offer, all were done.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>A couple note were received about multiple entries by a very few stations. </DIV>
<DIV>The current rule allows as many as 3 entries, but this too will be tweaked for next year, the rule is flawed and allows multiple counting of Qs.</DIV>
<DIV>No discredit to the station submitting, it is the current rule.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>With the bonus prizes listed the posting is complete, but if anyone spots a bug, please contact me for fixes.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Tommy has plaques on the way, Certificates will go next, Bonus prizes are still ripening in the fields, but will go when they can.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>That's it for a while, thanks again to all for the great support for the event.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>73,</DIV>
