There is no legal reason George – but, since K3ZX is not the control operator, you are restricted to the operating privileges of whoever is the control operator.  As in – if K3ZX is an Extra and the highest class licensee you have on site is a technician – you are stuck with technician privileges.

A group of VHF/UHF guys in Upstate SC plan to operate in the contest this weekend.

One of the group has given permission to use his call K3ZX.   But he will not be able to attend.

Is there any legal reason why we should not use his call?
