I'm going to make a go at it - my Kenwood and my computer are now conversing via RS-232 quite nicely and I (gasp!) bought a license for CW Skimmer as a not-so-secret-now weapon against you 35WPM speed demons! If there isn't a "circle" limitation, put me on a team (but not on the "aces" team; every contact over 25 will be a cause for celebration since my set-up is so miserable...).
Last weekend, I finally made a "menorah" with a three foot piece of aluminum bar stock and my 75, 40, 20, 15, and 10 Hustler resonators bolted on it then attached it to a MM-2 strapped to a proverbial 10' pole of one inch schedule 40 PVC strapped to a fence. They'll all tune up with my auto tuner (as will 12 and 30), and I can hear things slightly better than the indoor slinky dipole, but no contacts as of yet - I guess 100W just doesn't go as far as it used to...

The Texas QSO Party will soon be upon us as it is the LAST WEEKEND in SEPTEMBER. The hours are 9-9CT (10-10ET) on Saturday 09/26/09 and 9-3CT (10-4ET) on Sunday, 09/27/09. Due to a little distraction named "IKE" in the early days of September 2008, participation was way down last year. Look for TxQP participants to be back with a vengence this year.
