In case you have not seen it, 4 hams were killed in a plane crash while
flying to the Bahamas for this weekend's CQWW SSB contest.

This one is close to home for me as one passenger was
K4QO.  Randy and I had developed a distance friendship due
to the similarity of our callsigns.  I first met Randy at FDIM
a few years ago and ever since, we would always chat a bit
whenever we ran across each other on the air.  I had in the
back of my mind to contact Randy after this year's
contest and ask him the arrangements they used
for several years in the Bahamas with the thought
some of us might want to use them for a future CW contest.

Randy 55 years old and was QRP ARCI member 9152.

Our prayers and thoughts go out to Randy's family today.
