There has been a thread running on the
cwops reflector about preferences for headphones. There seems to be a
general consensus in favor of the Sony MDR-V6 phones and the Yamaha CM500
phones with built-in mike. Both of these seem to be available at retail for
about $60 each. I have not used either unit but my old Heil is getting to
the point that it needs to be replaced so I need to do something. If
there is enough interest, I would be happy to investigate to see what sort of a
deal we could get as a group buy and make such a purchase.

will then see what I can get for a price. Any comments on the two units
are welcome and I will pass those along. Also, it would make sense if the
units can be distributed from Atlanta since most members are located near there
