Comments:  My current living situation dictates the equivalent of emergency operation - even from home. For this contest, my station included a Yaesu FT-857D powered by a gel cell; and a Yaesu ATAS-25 manual screwdriver vertical mounted on a photo tripod on my back porch. The effort was very casual, and totally S&P. I wasn't expecting much - and was surprised that the little vertical heard as well as it did, given the far-from-optimum setup.
