For about the last 10 or 11 months, Dennis, K4ZJ has been battling a cancerous growth in his neck.  His 90 year old father (still living) also had one on his neck but successfully beat it.  Dennis is not as lucky.  After undergoing chemo and radiation treatments, Dennis underwent another scan and this time, Doctors found 6 masses on his spine and several small spots in his lungs.  The cancer is in his blood stream and they feel that it is now attacking his kidneys.  I’ll spare you all of the details, but over the last 3 weeks, he has been in a couple of hospitals, and is now in the Vitas Hospice near the Henry County Hospital.

I spoke to his wife Kay this afternoon and the Doctor met with Dennis this morning privately, telling him that they have done all that they can do and for him to get his affairs in order.  Kay indicated that visitors are welcome and the facility is open for visitation 24 hours.

If anyone wants to communicate with Kay, her telephone number is 404-405-0610.

Please keep Dennis and his family in your prayers.

Fred, WW4LL
