In a reply to this message I feel like I did not take anything out of context. When people make certain statements like you did that we are not very good operators, and that is exactly what you were implementing, then that affends me.  And if people do not state their opinions or the way they feel about the club, then they should not be in the club. I stand up for what I see and believe in. If more people took this attitude this would be a much better world. Also Rick and I have disagree on certain things. I am asked to come to his station to operate, because I am a good contestor. I also keep my butt in the seat, and I am determine to do my best.  And lastly I guess you only operate from stations where you can win! It must be nice to be so demanded of! If I offended you, I apologize, but you also offended all the operators at NQ4I ! Mark W4SVO

Subject: [SECC] ARRL Proposals

Mark,

Why do you air your dirty laundry publicly on the reflector.? You have taken my comments totally out of context. You don't have all the facts so your perceptions are way off.

1) The only reason I still belong to SECC is because I was asked to stay on by some good friends that are members. I'm not the only person who has problems with the club. The others just don't express their opinions on the reflector.

2) I never said NQ4I had bad operators. I said  K3LR recruited operators that were some of the best in the country i.e super operators. It took many years for K3LR to break thru the east coast curtain. Not once did he complain about the rules like Rick does continually

3) I'm not biased and have no interest in operating at NQ4I. The times I operated there I saw that he would never win. I have invitations every year from other big stations if I choose to do so. I'm just in the part of my life where my family comes first before ham radio. Maybe you are the one that is biased ? If you didn't agree with Rick's views you probably wouldn't be invited to operate from his station ?

4) You as well as I know that there are issues between NQ4I and W8JI. It would be nice if they didn't have their "cat fights" on the reflector. (and now cq-contest) This turns people off.

Rick is trying to force his opinions about ARRL DX on everyone. If someone disagrees with him he calls them names. Just look at some of his posts on cq-contest. I have a right to disagree with him if I choose.

Personally I think you owe me a public apology on the reflector.
