Mark, Why do you air your dirty laundry publicly on the reflector.? You have taken my comments totally out of context. You don't have all the facts so your perceptions are way off. 1) The only reason I still belong to SECC is because I was asked to stay on by some good friends that are members. I'm not the only person who has problems with the club. The others just don't express their opinions on the reflector. 2) I never said NQ4I had bad operators. I said K3LR recruited operators that were some of the best in the country i.e super operators. It took many years for K3LR to break thru the east coast curtain. Not once did he complain about the rules like Rick does continually 3) I'm not biased and have no interest in operating at NQ4I. The times I operated there I saw that he would never win. I have invitations every year from other big stations if I choose to do so. I'm just in the part of my life where my family comes first before ham radio. Maybe you are the one that is biased ? If you didn't agree with Rick's views you probably wouldn't be invited to operate from his station ? 4) You as well as I know that there are issues between NQ4I and W8JI. It would be nice if they didn't have their "cat fights" on the reflector. (and now cq-contest) This turns people off. Rick is trying to force his opinions about ARRL DX on everyone. If someone disagrees with him he calls them names. Just look at some of his posts on cq-contest. I have a right to disagree with him if I choose. Personally I think you owe me a public apology on the reflector. Jeff |
