I answered Cort direct, but thought I'd pass along some of the tips that have made my set-up work.  Please pass this along to the ACG and any other groups that were included--I only have access to the SECC -

I'm using Win7, a US Interface Navigator USB interface(With Sound card, CAT and a Winkeyer), Elecraft K3 and N1MM contest software (MMTTY for RTTY)
I'm running everything at 38.4 KBaud (it doesn't have to run at that rate)

Here are some tips that I'll throw out---you may have tried some or all of these, but maybe it will help someone with interfacing:

--Make sure the Baud rate matches on the Radio, the interface, the Software and the computer
--Make sure the Bit stream (8 Data Bits, No parity, 1 or 2 stopbits) matches on all the devices--It's probably hard-coded on the radio, but may be configurable on the others--most software will set it to the chosen radio's default.
--On the Windows 7 PC, go into device manager and force-set the Baud rate on the serial port (or virtual serial port) to the same as all the other devices.
--If you have selected a high baud rate, try a slower one (4800 or 9600).  You really won't notice much difference and I have found this to correct some problems.
--If you are using an interface with a built-in sound card and you only need one soundcard, use the one on the interface.
--If you are running MMTTY, you may have to go into the settings and select the soundcard on the USB device)

Some of you may have other suggestions or may not agree with mine, but they work for me.

73 and good luck, Tad, WF4W

I have no answers to this question; but, want to know too.   We now have a Win7 laptop and I have not tried any interface yet.  Please post for all.

ok guys, I need some serious advice. I took my new computer off line and put
the old XP machine back in to get thru the Contest this past weekend. Now I
am ready to put the new machine back in and get it to playing with Windows 7
and the rig. I have FT2000D, microHam microkeyer2, latest version of
Writelog, latest version of microHam router and 4.2 gig computer with Win 7
as the OS. I installed Dx4win, MMTTY and microHam router in C: but Writelog
went under C:programs. I downloaded and printed out everything pertaining to
Win 7 from Writelog Help files and microHam latest manual.

I guess my biggest question after reading all this is do I HAVE to have two
sound boards installed or can I just get away with the on board sound from
the mother board. I only use one radio so don't need stereo. I would
appreciate any and all advice to get me up and running with this new system.
I felt I just didn't have the time to get comfortable getting it sorted out
before the last week's contest. Thanks, Cort K4WI
