When I turned the radio on at 2:00 AM, 20 meters was hopping..loud eastern euros and russians...well soon after the 0700 start, the band faded and didnt really open up again until 1000Z..No DX in the contest on 40..although I heard alot of weak JA's. 20 was the best band...15 meters sounded ok..had short path opening to JA/BY/UA0's etc....not much activity on SSB anywhere...Thanks K4BAI for the 2 bands...73's  John / w4IX
