My trusty IBM ThinkPad T42 (WinXP Pro) is just about dead (backlight and I don't want to spend time fixing it!) so it's time to replace it.

Yes, I know, it's very old technology but I only run ham related software so it's been quite adequate.

Bottom line -- have $100 + or - to spend -- looking to buy a suitable replacement - anyone have something useful?
