In answer to Dave's question regarding SECC'ers who participate in state QSO parties, I'm one and I'm a big fan. State parties are a low key, relaxed, and fun. Sometimes, there will be an added bonus or multiplier for working a certain station, i.e. a club station or a specific QTH and that can add a little excitement when you find em. This year, some state parties are also adding the ARRL centennial into their mix of bonus stations. The state parties are more to my liking than the larger contests.
