My personal experience
with WIN 10 is based on "clean" installs of WIN 10. I've not run across
such a problem as a consequence. I have guided several WIN 7 Home
users through the upgrade process; they went through okay but did
encounter some minor driver issues... Every computer is going to be a
little bit different because of the configuration differences. I took a
circa-2009 desktop and did a "clean" install of WIN 10 on it, which
went off like clockwork... WIN 10 isn't a bad OS...the WIN 7 development
team built it... OTOH, the WIN 8 stuff was a train wreck; the VISTA
guys did that one (or so I'm told)...

Cort,
Good luck
with Win 10. I have tried three different times to install it but keep
getting an "unknown error" message. Checked online and saw that this
has been a problem for a while. No sure fix yet, just a bunch of long
winded suggestions that I am not going to get involved with. Unless
something changes soon, my plan is to stay with Win 7 until it's time to
upgrade my computer.
Again, good luck!

Anyone know if win 10 now supports dual monitors? I
downloaded it last January and had to take it back off because it didn't
have any provision for dual monitors. Free version runs out in a
month.... maybe I had better get on the bandwagon? tnx 73's Cort K4WI
