Factory Alignment ? - Yes Kenwood Service.....
LOL, Sorry, Yes,
Kenwood Service Center.
I'm a Yeasu and
Kenwood fan, having a couple of HF rigs from each mfr, for various uses.
And yes, it was
Skyland, when they were in Atlanta .
Now set up in Gainesville ,
but haven't been to that store yet. And that is def an option lacking
factory service availability. He did fantastic first time, just a little
more tweaking perhpas may resolve the 75 meter observation. I need to put
it back up on the air and give it another going over just to see if any other
bands are affected.
That or start buying
more test equipment (toys : )).....

Alignment ?
Happy Friday all you
DXers.
My local radio club
acquired a very nice used Kenwood TS-850S from a member that went SK.
After giving it a
look over, it was fully functional but there were some receive audio issues,
specifically on SSB.
One of the local Ham
Repair shops performed an alignment for us at a reasonable price, but this
field day I was still hearing both lower and upper sidebands on 75 meters.
Lacking the needed
test equipment myself, can somebody direct me to the nearest Yeasu Service
center? I need to find out if they offer a factory alignment.
This is a Great
Radio, just needs a little more fixin to make it "right".
Thanks in advance
for any help.
