Well, there's a difference between 5w and 100w. . . And perhaps station expectations do come into play. I've been off the air for 20+ yrs so the current conditions is my "normal". I guess when the bands are full of signals and I have no problem running at a rate of 50-60qph I consider it to be decent :)
I find it interesting that RJ, WF4W, and Jim, W4QO, on successive posts of their scores had seemingly polar opposite opinions of the band conditions... and, considering their operating stations and antennas, I would have thought they would have had each taken the other’s position...
Of course personal expectations of their stations are probably what they each used as a reference...
Just something to ponder.
