Hi Court.

You might either be ignored or get a blast from Joe. He gets asked this question a lot.and if he doesn't answer you might browse through the microHAM user group files. I can't  word it as nice as he does, but essentially it is not a microHAM problem. The flashing LED happens when another windows application has control of the sound card. Besides the ones you can see on the devices part of Windows there are sometimes hidden ones too and they sometimes cause problems. He has described the procedure to correct that several times. I don't remember the details, but they are in the past history files of the user group. If I remember correctly the best solution is to uninstall and then reinstall the microHAM router program.

hey Joe and all, need some advice/ideas. I sent my ft5000 back to Yaesu July 2 for front end repair and update.I got it back yesterday and set it back up the same as before.. Radio has the latest firmware, microKeyer is 9.0.4 and latest update, Microsoft did several WIN 10 updates while it was gone. In both DX4WIN and Writelog CW and SSB all worked as before. But rtty doesn't work... keeps sending a message "can't open soundcard (1)" . The little LED fsk on the microKEYER-2 flashes continuously as long as the rig is in RTTY mode which it never did before. I have looked at MMTTY setup, router setup, audio setup, and DX4win/Writelog setup and can not find anything different from the way it was before. But something is preventing the sound card from working with the radio but I am at a loss to see what is NOT working! Please point me in the right direction! Thanks for the help... I am so glad to have my radio back! 73's Cort K4WI
