wow, Joe I know that you get tired of my weird "issues" and thanks so much for all of your time and effort to help me resolve this strange problem. Suggestion #2 below is what finally led me to what was the real problem. I had hooked a Yaesu MD-1 desk mike to the back port of the microKeyer2 and my heil headset to the front mike port on the microKeyer. The MD-1 has a switch TX-STBY on it... I guess in the process of hooking all this stuff back up the switch was moved to TX. Put it back to STBY and all my problems went away..... I feel so foolish but very happy to have it all working again!

Joe, you have been there for me so many times helping me with the crap I seem to get into and I REALLY appreciate you so much... I owe you one my friend! Thanks to all the others that offered advice too ! 73's Cort K4WI

Cort,

1) you have to have changed something in either MMTTY or Dx4win since
you last had it working.  There is nothing in the hardware that can
explain the change.

2) is the mic cable connected between MK II and the rig?  That is
the most common explanation for the lack of PTT in SSB and RTTY
(particularly if RTTY PTT is set to PTT_1).

3) You will see the FSK LED flicker when attempting to transmit
RTTY if MMTTY/DX4win is activating PTT.  Since DX4Win can activate
PTT independently of MMTTY, check the PTT Port in Dx4Win (Preferences
-> CW -> Software CW Keying/PTT Control) and make sure RTS Line is
set to PTT Control on the same port you have selected for PTT in
Router.  Also *UNCHECK* the PTT box in the FSK port on Router.

Finally, MAKE SURE you have selected "C: Limiting Speed" in
MMTTY -> Option -> Setup -> Misc -> USB Port *and* have
selected COM-TxD(FSK) in MMTTY -> Option -> Setup -> Misc

All of these steps are documented in the example configuration
for DX4Win and MK II.
