N4GG – Shack Clean-out #1 – Sept, 2019

Bencher Paddle – BY-4 including the original box.  The BY-4 has gold parts on a black base and is the best looking of the four Bencher types IMHO).  Gold on gold and gold on black Benchers are no longer made.  (A new BY-1 is $175 and the BY-4 was always A LOT more).  $70.

With some regret – A new Begali Intrepid bug.  I bought this to re-live my novice days along with the DX-20 and VF-1 listed bellow.  Read the eHam reviews – likely the best bug ever made.  I bought it new at Dayton this year – 2019.  Has about two hours of use.  Bought new for $500.  Sell for $375.

Unified Microsystems XT-4 memory keyer, as new $35. (New $70).   (Great little battery keyer for home or portable)

GAP Antennas, Quick Tilt Ground Mount – New in box, $45.   (New price: $97.)

CWS Bytemark B-300 balun.  New, unused.  This is a >>1.5 KW 6:1 balun for folded dipoles or 300 ohm transmission line matching.  I have 4 of these in service, this was a spare I never needed.  (New: $75)  $35.

The Wireman 804 ladder line center and end insulator kit.  New in package.  (This is the rest of what you need for a folded dipole.  Like the balun above, I have 4 in service – they are great).  (New: $15)  $6.

Motorola 58C9860F01 50 ohm dummy load.  250 watts continuous, will take much more power for short durations.  Commercial grade. DC to 1 GHz.  Typically $100 on eBay.  As new: $40.

Microwave Devices 634N dummy load.  Commercial grade, 150 watts continuous DC to 3 GHz.  Will take much more power for short durations.  (Used price on RF Parts: $140).  As new:  $50.

8 foot ground rod – ½ inch copper clad-steel, new.  $5.

Max-Gain round fiberglass tube.  8 ft x ¾ (2 pieces), 6 ft x ½ (2 pieces), 8 ft x ½ (5 pieces).  Plus some small pieces good for splicing.  I use this for a 25 ft support for my K9AY loop, have used it for 6M Quad spreaders and I used a lot of it for nested 10 & 15 meter full wave loops.  (New: $83).  Some new, rest in good condx: $25.

15 KV current limited neon sign transformers.  Jacobs ladders, spark gap transmitters, fun, dangerous.  I have three.  Offer?

Lowes (and Home Depot) “Blue Hawk” “U” posts.  These are like the posts that stop signs are placed on.  I use them for K9AY center pole supports and places I need things off the ground.  1” x 4ft (2 pieces) and 2 ¼” X 7ft (one).  New: $15 (these things are a real bargain).  How about $5 for all 3?

DX-20.  New caps, strong tubes, works great.  Meter face has a crack, otherwise okay.  With some XTALS.  Free to a good home – see notes below.

VF-1 VFO to match the DX-20.  Original manual.  Free to a good home – see notes below.

Notes:

Except for the Intrepid, prices on new items are half, or less than half of what they sell for new.  The rest are below eBay, QTH.COM, etc. prices… for club members.  Anything not taken goes to those places next at higher prices.

PLEASE DO NOT FLIP any of this.  If you need it, want it, and/or plan to use it – great.  If you are just going to resell it – PLEASE DON’T.

The DX-20 and VF-1:  I have about $100 in them; they are free to someone who wants to put them on the air.  When you are done enjoying them – GIVE them to someone else to enjoy.

Pick up in Woodstock or the next SEDXC meeting.
