Radiosport looks to be in good shape here in Georgia. The North American collegiate championship operated in conjunction with the NA SSB QSO party this past weekend, and if you go from the results on contest online scoreboard (which was supposedly required), GA colleges finished 1st and 3rd. Props to GA Tech for their 469 contacts, and likely first place finish. Augusta University's KN4WXZ may have finished third. Our club station, for which I serve as custodian, is less than 6 months old. Led by Darby KK4PEQ, our students made contacts using a OCF dipole, set up temporarily less than 20 feet off the ground, and with the mic gain turned way too high. I missed it due to a work conflict taking me to Athens. Excited to see what is next.

Yesterday Jeremiah Thompson, KO4AST, and I operated for the North American Collegiate Championship.  We operated for approximately 9 hours out of twelve and made 157 contacts in total with a claimed score of 7,379.  Sorry for the late notice on this competition.  Our next one will be the School Club Roundup the week of February 10-14.  There is another contest that is going on this month that we will not participate in, but the Columbia County Club is.  Winter field day will be hosted by the Columbia County Amateur Club starting January 25^th and going through the next day, January 26^th.  They will be located at Camp Tanglewood in Evans.  Feel free to stop by and check out what a Field Day operation looks like.
