I'm one of those that didn't know about the day 2 cancellation.  Didn't read the emails in time (same reason I miss out on a lot of good hardware deals!)
We like to two team it, but the wife was busy supporting in this virus issue and I've learned that working from home is more work than doing it at work.
She's heading off today for a week of support now and I was hoping to catch up today, but saw the change yesterday late. My loss, maybe I'm the only one, but wanted to let others know they aren't alone, ha.

Is the yahoo group still valid?  I can't get it to come up, either from directly in my groups or from the SEDXC webpage.

Hoping this message goes through, it's the first time I've tried it.

Good point. How many across the nation and farther will be listening on day 2 only to find (perhaps) in the rules that day 2 is cancelled?  I understand the obvious need to scrub the rovers but why cancel day 2? Continuing the contest on Sunday will definitely bring more activity.

Besides most people don't really read the rules until maybe the day of the contest. I know this as a fact because of questions I get all the time that are spelled out in the rules that no one bothers to read.

Our remote ops N4N effort can support M2 at the remote station without having to use two geographically separated stations. So, if M2 is going to be a category (or already is), we would probably operate this way, at least part of the time. During the really slow evening hours, I know I?ll be sending alternating CQ?s on multiple bands.

These calls would be operated as Multi-Multi from different locations. To operate using one of these call signs you need to be a member of the respective club. Anyone who operates using one of these calls will need to reserve a band/mode beforehand so we have coordination that the call isn't being used at the same time on a band/mode. Here are the proposed available spots :

Since neither SECC or SEDXC are eligible for the club competition you can't counted the score towards a club score. Also note during the time when you aren't operating one of the bonus stations you can use your home call. We could also offer a certificate for anyone who works W4AN or W4NT on all of these band slots. I would also add that if you choose a spot make sure you have a good antenna on that band. We don't want someone using 100 watts and  dipole doing 20 meters. It would be better to have a station that has a Tribander/ KW or better as a minimum setup. Same for the lower bands. I would like everyone running a amp so out of state stations can her you well. this idea might generate some nice pileups for those who choose to participate.

For this year only we could add a Multi-2 category. So for example say you are operating one of the special 1x1 NFARL calls like N4N. If you are multi-single you could use this call with only one transmitted signal at a time from any station location in your county. For Multi-2 you could have two transmitted signals from two different stations at a time in your county. It's very important that you don't use the same call sign from two DIFFERENT counties.
