Hoo, boy. Another 1900Z session with horrible conditions for me,
mostly due to
only having a low dipole for an antenna on 20, 15 and 10. I did
work everybody I
could hear on 15 (all 3 of them). Knowing I don't have much of a
signal on 20, I
use the 1900Z sessions for S&P and SO2R practice. When you
have a puny
signal that of course means the "P" part of S&P operation
doesn't
work so well. The situation is greatly aggravated by not having an
amplifier for
the secondary radio. I've learned my lesson, and the amp for the
second station
is now on order. The only thing that helped salvage an otherwise
abysmal hour
was a QSY to 40 that gave me a decent run for the last 15 minutes.
