There have been a series of balloon launches over the past year from west of us - the last one circumnavigated the earth three times before finally coming down.

The current one was launched yesterday.  The callsign is W5KUB-21.  It operates on WSPR on the standard WSPR frequency on 20 meters.  It is currently 40,000 ft over Nashville and easy copy here in our area.  If you are set up for FT-8 then you probably have WSPR as a mode.

W5KUB transmits once every 10 minutes.  The last copy here was at 1812Z.  It will be heard next at 1822Z and onward.  I believe it is mostly solar powered (maybe some batteries) so it may stop transmitting at night.  It's running 10 milli-watts...
