North American QSO Party, SSB - January Call: K4BAI Operator(s): K4BAI Station: K4BAI Class: Single Op LP QTH: GA Operating Time (hrs): 10 Summary: Band QSOs Mults ------------------- 160: 50 22 80: 187 38 40: 192 37 20: 114 36 15: 40 18 10: 3 3 ------------------- Total: 586 154 Total Score = 90,244 Club: South East Contest Club Team: SECC#1 Comments: Very hard work for this one. The beam has been intermittent and failed altogether after about an hour. After that, I used the 160M inverted vee on 10M (no QSOs), the 40M dipole on 15, and the 88' cf zepp on 20. Glad to work a lot of friends and make some new ones. The zepp didn't seem to be getting out well on 80, so after the first hour or so, I used the 88M inverted vee, which is cut for 80M, but will load with use of the ATU in the TS590SG. Antenna for 160 was an inverted L. 10M was open from GA to NY, NJ, and MA at the start, but almost no one was taking advantage of it. 15M was open at a long distance in all directions, but also to IL. 20M was generally long and I missed a lot of mults there that are usually easy. Generally 20M was a disappointment. 40M was a little long when I went there and eventually went very long. 80M went long early, ,but shortened up toward the end of my time. 160M was OK with QTHs with MN, ON, and New England. Thanks for all QSOs. 73, John, K4BAI. Posted using 3830 Score Submittal Forms at: http://www.3830scores.com/
